Player’s Choice Crate

 

The Player’s Choice Crate was introduced 21/2/2017. Later that same year on the 16th November the crates inventory list was updated.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 2 Very Rare Decals, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Very Rare rocket Boost, 3 Import Bodies, 2 Exotic wheels and 4 Black Market Decals:

Turbo Crate

 

The Turbo Crate was introduced 22/3/2017. This was the first crate to include a new model battle-car.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 2 Very Rare Decals, 2 Exotic Wheels, 1 Very Rare Wheel, 1 Very Rare Rocket Boost, 1 Import Rocket Boost, 1 Import Body and 1 Import Paint Finish:

 

 

Nitro Crate

 

The Nitro Crate was introduced 10/5/2017 together with the Neo Tokyo/Neo Underpass update.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 2 Very Rare Decals, 1 Very Rare Wheel, 1 Import Wheel, 2 Exotic Wheels, 1 Very Rare Rocket Boost, 1 Import Rocket Boost and 1 Import Body:

 

 

Overdrive Crate

 

The Overdrive Crate was introduced 5/7/2017 together with the 2nd anniversary update.

This crate contains 2 Rare Paint Finishes, 3 Rare Decals, 3 Very Rare Trails, 1 Very Rare Wheel, 2 Import Bodies, 1 Import Rocket Boost, 1 Import Wheels, Exotic Wheels and 4 Black Market Goal Extensions:

Accelerator Crate

 

 

The Accelerator Crate was introduced 28/9/2017 together with the Autumn update.

This crate contains 1 Rare Paint Finish, 4 Rare Decals, 2 Very Rare Trails, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Very Rare Decals, 1 Import Body, 1 Import Rocket Boost, 1 Import Wheels, 2 Exotic Wheels and 4 Black Market Goal Explosions.

 

 

Velocity Crate

 

The Velocity Crate was introduced 4/12/2017.

This crate contains 4 Rare Decals, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Very Rare Paint Finish, 1 Very Rare Trail, 1 Very Rare Decal, 1 Import Body, 1 Import Wheels, 1 Import Rocket Boost, 2 Exotic Wheels and 4 Black Market Goal Explosions.

 

 

Victory Crate

 

Victory Crate is the latest crate to be introduced to Rocket League, it was made available 7/2/2018.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Very Rare Trail, 1 Very Rare Decal, 1 Import Body, 2 Import Rocket Boosts, 2 Exotic Wheels, 3 Black Market Decals and 1 Black Market Goal Explosion.

Special Events Crates

 

Haunted Hallows Crate

 

Special crate available during the Haunted Hallows event between 16/10/2017 and 6/11/2017.

This crate could be purchased with real money or the in-game currency “Candy Corn”. 50 “Candy Corn” was needed to buy one Haunted Hallow Crate. Both Keys and Decryptors can be used to open this Rocket League crate. Haunted Hallows Cases were also dropped normally after a competitive match ended.

Haunted Hallow Crates can not be traded. The items obtained from the crate can be traded with other players.

The Haunted Hallow Crate contains 4 Rare Decals, 2 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Very Rare Rocket Boosts, 1 Very Rare Player Banner, 2 Import Goal Explosions and 1 Import Wheels.

 

 

Secret Santa Crate

 

Another special events crate, Secret Santa Crate was available 11/12/2017 and 2/1/2018 during the Frosty Fest.

This crate could be purchased with real money or the in-game currency “Snowflakes”. 50 “Snowflakes” was needed to buy one Secret Santa Crate. Both Keys and Decryptors can be used to open this Rocket League crate. Secret Santa Cases were also dropped normally after a competitive match ended.

Secret Santa Crates can not be traded. The items obtained from the crate can be traded with other players.

The Secret Santa Crate contains 4 Rare Decals, 1 Very Rare Trail, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Very Rare Rocket Boost, 1 Very Rare Player Banner, 1 Import Rocket Boost, 1 Import Wheels, 1 Import Goal Explosion and 1 Exotic Wheels.

 

 

Spring Fever Crate

 

The latest Rocket League crate is the Spring Fever Crate. This Rocket League crate was introduced on March 19th 2018 and will remain active until April 9th 2018.

This crate can be purchased with real money or the in-game currency “Flowers”. 50 “Flowers” is needed to buy one Secret Santa Crate. Both Keys and Decryptors can be used to open this Rocket League crate. Secret Santa Cases also drop normally after a competitive match has ended.

Spring Fever Crate can not be traded. The items obtained from the crate can be traded with other players.

The Secret Santa Crate contains 4 Rare Decals, 1  Very Rare Rocket Boost, 1 Very Rare Player Banner, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Import Wheels, 1 Geo Soul Import, 1 Import Decal, 1 Exotic Goal Explosion and 1 Exotic Wheels.

Inactive Rocket League Crates

 

Psyonix deactivated the Champion Crates roughly six months after their initial releases. According to Psyonix they will continue retiring Rocket League Crates approximately every six months. Available crates and items can still be traded with other players and according to Psyonix, some items that get discontinued when a crate is inactivated might get re-introduced in the future together with a new Rocket League Crate.

 

Champion Crate 1

 

The Champion Crate 1 was active between 8/9/2016 and 5/7/2017. Champion Crate 1 and 2 was made available at the same time.

Champion Crate 1 can be obtained by trading with other players.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 3 Very Rare Decals, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Import Rocket Boosts, 2 Import Bodies, 2 Exotic Wheels and 4 Black Market Decals.

 

 

Champion Crate 2

 

The Champion Crate 2 was active between 8/9/2016 and 5/7/2017. Champion Crate 2 was made available at the same time as Champion Crate 1.

Champion Crate 2 can be obtained by trading with other players.

This crate contains 3 Rare Decals, 5 Very Rare Decals, 2 Import Bodies, 2 Exotic Wheels, 1 Very Rare Rocket Trail, 1 Import Rocket Trail and 4 Black Market Decals.

 

 

Champion Crate 3

 

The Champion Crate 3 was active between 4/10/2016 and 5/7/2017. It was made available together with the AquaDome update.

Champion Crate 3 can be obtained by trading with

other players.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 3 Very Rare Decals, 2 Import Rocket Trails, 2 Exotic Wheels, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Import Body and 4 Black Market Decals.

 

 

Champion Crate 4

 

The Champion Crate 4 was active between 7/12/2016 and 5/7/2017. It was made available together with the Starbase ARC update.

Champion Crate 4 can be obtained by trading with other players.

This crate contains 5 Rare Decals, 3 Very Rare Decals, 2 Exotic Wheels, 1 Very Rare Wheels, 1 Import Wheels, 1 Import Body, 1 Import Rocket Boost and 3 Black Market Decals.

Information about Rocket League crates

Crates are a type of item exclusive to Rocket League. A player can obtain a Rocket League crate as a random drop after completing online matches. Statistically 1 crate is dropped for every 10h played. When a Rocket League crate is opened it will provide a player with a cosmetic item. The item is randomly selected from the crate inventory list, items of higher rarity have a smaller chance to appear.

Rocket League crates were first introduced on 8/9/2016 together with Patch v.122.

Item types that can be obtained from Rocket League crates include Bodies, Decals, Goal Explosions, Rocket Boosts, Trails and Wheels.

Each crate have a unique inventory item list and the items have different rarities, classified as follows: Rare, Very Rare, Import, Exotic and Black Market.

To date there are seven active Rocket League crates: Player’s Choice Crate, Turbo Crate, Nitro Crate, Overdrive Crate, Accelerator Crate, Velocity Crate and Victory Crate.
Psyonix inactivated four different Rocket League crates to date: Champion Crate 1, Champion Crate 2, Champion Crate 3 and Champion Crate 4.
Two crates has previously been available during special events: Haunted Hallows Crate and Secret Santa Crate.

Crates can be opened by using a key. Keys are perishable and are used when unlock a Rocket League crate. Keys can be obtained from the marketplace of respective platform in bundles of 1, 5, 10 and 20.
